For subscribed users, we offer secure cloud backups. This allows us to store information such as addiction types, sobriety dates, and motivational messages in the cloud. Some of the data you share might contain sensitive personal information regarding your physical or mental health.

We do not share your data with third parties unless legally required to do so. Our external service providers are limited to:
Photos taken within the app (e.g., for milestones or profile) are stored securely on our servers.
You must confirm that you are at least 18 years old to use the app. If you are under 18, permission from a parent or guardian is required to use the app or share personal data with us.
BraveSteps places a strong emphasis on data security. Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, following HIPAA-compliant standards. We rely on TLS encryption to protect all communications.
Our infrastructure, hosted on Microsoft Azure, undergoes regular automated and manual reviews to prevent unauthorized access. We closely monitor the system for suspicious activity to maintain data integrity.
We retain user data as long as your account is active or you have shown interest in our services. After your activity ends, we keep data for up to six years to comply with legal obligations. During and beyond this period, anonymized data may be used to improve our products and services.
You can delete your milestones, photos, or other personal information directly through the app at any time.
